THE BLOG HIATUS IS OVER AND I'M BRINGING FOOTBALL BACK!

It's been awhile since I've written a post, but it is definitely time to revive and reboot this blog.

Football season is well underway, and I couldn't be happier. It's fall and it's football season which makes it the best time of year. The NFL is wrapping up week 3 and so much has already happened.

Just to bring you up to speed...

There was Manningbowl III (big bro beat little bro). The Jets started rookie QB, Geno Smith. The Giants are 0-3 (ouch!)  The Dolphins are 3-0??!!  RGIII isn't turning out to be what he, Mike Shanahan, or the rest of the world expected. The Jags and Bucs are still terrible. And speaking of the Bucs, despite his move from New York to Tampa (and a $16million/year contract), Darrelle Revis still isn't happy.  The 49ers were embarrassed by the Seahawks in 29-3 loss in week 2. (Also during which the Guinness World Record for loudest stadium was set at Century Link Field in Seattle.) There have been a number of injuries, with many occurring during preseason and training camp, like Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski, Lions DL Jason Jones, Texans WR Andre Johnson, and Niners TE Vernon Davis to name a few.
All in all, it's certainly been an exciting and surprising first few weeks of the regular season. Now onto what's ahead...

Tonight is Monday Night Football (#MNF). An AFC West matchup of the Denver Broncos and the Oakland Raiders in Denver, and with Peyton Manning back and better than ever, the Broncos will go 3-0. At age 37, no youngin' in the world of pro football, and after a neck surgery two years ago that could have ended his NFL career, Peyton Manning still has it. Last season, the Broncos finished 13-3 and 1st in the AFC West, then lost in the Divisional Playoffs to the Baltimore Ravens who went on to win the Super Bowl. This season is looking quite similar for the Broncos, except for one thing...they will win the divisional playoffs and continue on to Super Bowl XLVIII. In just two games, Peyton Manning has thrown for 769 yards and 9 touchdowns, 7 of which were during game one against the defending Super Bowl champions, tying the NFL record. With wide receivers like Wes Welker, Eric Decker and Demaryious Thomas, Manning is sure to add many more yards and TD's to his stats tonight. All-in-all, Peyton and the bucking Broncos are looking solid as gold as they head into tonight's game.
